Auckland - Waitomo Caves - Hobbiton (Movie Set) - Rotorua Sights - Auckland 2 Day Bus Tour
	Travel on this scenic travel journey from Auckland to Hobbiton Movie Set, Rotorua Sights including Tepuia and Wai-O-Tapu thermal reserves and the Waitomo Caves on this 2 Day small group tour departing Auckland and returning to Auckland. Day 1 - Auckland to Hobbiton and Rotorua Start your day traveling from Auckland to Hobbiton through the Waikato where you will see Dairy Farms and the Hauraki Plains. On arrival at Hobbiton you will be guided through the picturesque 1,250 acre sheep farm with spectacular views across to the Kaimai Ranges. You will be escorted through the site while listening to fascinating details of how the Hobbiton Movie set was transformed from a beautiful piece of Waikato farmland into The Shire from Middle-Earth. The Hobbit holes, Green Dragon Inn, the Mill and other structures were created for The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films. Finish your Hobbiton tour with a complimentary drink at the Green Dragon Inn. After this visiting Hobbiton, you travel onto Rotorua to Te Puia thermal reservation, that spans 70 hectares within the historic Te Whakarewarewa Valley, on the edge of Rotorua. It is home to the Pohutu geyser, mud pools, hot springs, silica formations, the Kiwi bird and the national schools of wood carving, weaving, stone and bone carving. You will explore Rotorua, visiting the lake front, the government gardens and other attractions before taking you to your accommodation. In the evening, you will be entertained at Mitai Village at night and will experience a Maori Cultural show and traditional Maori Hangi Dinner. Day 2 - Rotorua to Waitomo Caves and Auckland After breakast you will be picked up for your tour to Waiotapu Thermal Wonderland. From Rotorua you will travel to Waitomo Caves. The Waitomo Glow worm Caves occupy a high placing in the New Zealand vacation wish-list. The glow worm, Arachnocampa luminosa, is unique to New Zealand. Thousands of these tiny creatures radiate their unmistakable luminescent light as expert guides provide informative commentary on the Caves' historical and geological significance. You will walk into the caves and sail out in a small boat. After your Waitomo Caves visit, you turn to Auckland where the tour will conclude. This small group tour includes - accommodation pick up and drop offs, 1 night's hotel accommodation, lunch and dinner (Day1) and breakfast (Day 2), sightseeing tours and entrance fees to Waitomo Caves, Hobbiton, Te Puia and Wai-O-Tapu thermal reserves and coach travel with commentary.
