This area was used in the filming of the second Hobbit movie “The Desolation of Smaug”. Stand where Sir Peter Jackson and his film team made this great movie and paddle yourself along the Hobbit river in our very safe inflatable kayaks. Our trip starts with a pick-up in Havelock where we register you and fit you out for the adventure ahead. Once wet suits and life jackets are on we transfer you to the entry point of the Pelorus river. Before boarding our boats we brief you on safe conduct on the river and ensure you are ready for the experience ahead. From here we hop on board your vessel and start the decent down the beautiful river used in the filming of the movie the Hobbit - The Desolation of Smaug
